Association Breed Awards

Deadline June 17, 2019

The owners/riders are solely responsible for submitting their complete information to qualify for a sponsored breed award. The June 17, 2019 deadline is FIRM as some of the associations require that they verify the information prior to the show. 


  • All horses/ponies must be registered.
  • All horses/ponies must submit registration papers.
  • Even if not expressly stated, please ensure the owner is the current listed owner to prevent any issues.
  • The horse and rider name are required with the submission.

Horses must be registered as KWPN and a copy of breed registration papers that say “KWPN” must be provided and horse MUST be registered in owner's name.

All horses competing must hold registration papers from The Oldenburg  Horse Breeders’ Society or its parent registry, Verband der Züchter des  Oldenburger Pferdes (i.e., the German Oldenburg Verband).

The Jockey Club / TIP

For  purposes of eligibility for all T.I.P. classes and awards, a  "Thoroughbred" is defined as any horse that has been registered with The  Jockey Club or a foreign Thoroughbred stud book approved by The Jockey  Club and the International Stud Book Committee. All horse shows must  require riders to verify eligibility through pre-entry or on the day of  the horse show through one of the following methods:

  • T.I.P. Number Card (click My Account to apply for a T.I.P. Number); or
  • Completed T.I.P. Number request form and one of the following
    • The Jockey Club Certificate of Foal Registration (or similar document from a foreign stud book) or a copy thereof; or
    • The horse's lip tattoo, the horse's 5-cross pedigree and the successful tattoo lookup result from The Jockey Club's Tattoo Identification Services, (located at registry.jockeyclub.com); or
    • A letter from The Jockey Club verifying the horse's identity
  • Please Note:T.I.P.  Number Request Forms should only be used one time; riders/owners should apply for a T.I.P. Number and provide their assigned T.I.P. Number at  subsequent shows.

Sponsored Breed Awards

To qualify for a sponsored breed award you must declare your breed when entering the show. There is space on the form (print and online) to declare breed. This is a cash reward to the highest scoring Jr/YR, Adult Amateur, and Open for the show.
